Mother and daughter
She was really all smiles the whole night. Very quiet but you could tell she was taking it all in and loving it!
These are all the "cotton blossoms", over 30 girls! Pretty good turn out for the 1st year. All the girls were so precious.

Here is Ressa next to her friends, Mimi and Daisha.
So dads could be their daughter's escort out onto the stage. I asked Chad to do it, since I was pretty sure Ressa would get scared when the time came. He stayed back with her behind the stage while I came out in the audience to take pictures.

Then much to my surprise, here comes Ressa all by herself. She walked right out, then right up to the very front of the stage, stopped and smiled, then turned right around and walked right back! Way to go, sis! She told me she wasn't even scared and had fun!
We had such a nice night and stayed to watch the rest of the pageant since we had a few girls from our ward competing for princess and queen. None of them won, but they all did such a wonderful job! So proud of our young women! We were all so starving since we didn't have time to eat dinner. Chad left the pageant with Lauren and the boys a little eary 'cause he was tired of chasing Lauren around. I was so thrilled to get a text from him to meet them at Pizza Hut. Thrilled because it is the first text he has ever sent me, and second, the food was already there when Ressa and I arrived. Thanks, babe!

She looked so beautiful! I love the dress!
She did look very cute. Yes, I was there, but in the back. I saw you runnin around as well. Definitely glad that Lillian did not participate. She is not ready for something like that!
SO fun! Ressa looks adorable! I forgot about that..I wanted to go! Shoot...glad Ressa had so much fun.
fun! what a great description of the night. good job, ressa!
What fun! She looks like a great princess! And you, Sarah, you are looking like quite the princess yourself!
Ressa is so adorable. And I have to ask, did you and Chad coordinate your outfits?
You would have to notice that! O.K. So I got dressed first and had to take Ressa to my friends to get her hair done. Chad brought the rest of the kids and met me at the pageant. It didn't dawn on me until much later that we were both wearing argile. How embarassing!
Looked like a ton of fun. Her dress was beautiful and she looked adorable. What a great way to feel like a princess!!!
Dang Lea Ann took my comment. I loved how you and Chad matched!! At first I was thinking wow what a good picture of Sarah and Ressa and then scrolled down and wow what a familiar picture of Chad and Ressa, but sorry Chad not as beauiful!! Also I love Ressa's dress. It is so beautiful!! She looks so darling. I am not a girly girl either, but I think that would be a fun thing to do with my future daughter some day.
How observant are you guys! I didn't notice that you and chad matched.. I had to look again. That's too funny.
Ressa is ADORABLE, what a pretty dress and I'll bet she totally felt like a princess. What a fun experience for her.. way to suck it up Sarah! :) The things you do for daughters. You look gorgeous too by the way.
