It's not what it looks like

This was a completely innocent trip to the Casa Grande ruins. No alterior motives. Just a mother who wants to teach her children about the Native American history of the area in which we live. I like to take advantage of every moment of everyday, to explore and educate myself and my children. It was by sheer coincidence that other cub scouts and their parents came to participate in the junior ranger program for a badge at the exact same time.

I know what you are thinking. We're in trouble.

Can't get enough of the boys in blue

Your probably thinking that the only time I blog about Carson and Jackson is when it has to do with cub scouts. And you're probably right. Our next scouting adventure was the Calvin Coolidge Days Parade. Our troop showed their stuff by walking (not riding) in the parade in 93 degree temps. Way to go boys!

My brother Jason and his wife Kimberly have a banner making business so I asked him to make a sign for the troop to carry in the parade. It turned out pretty good!

Here are two fans sitting on the curb to cheer the boys on! We bought these personal mister bottles to keep cool and took a couple more to the scout leaders to keep the troop cool while they walked. One scout told me that I saved thirteen lives that morning! I tried not to let it go to my head.

Just sit back and celebrate!

Ressa's 7th Birthday!

It dawned on me 6 days before that I needed to plan something for Ressa's birthday. The whole week before was spent taking her to the hospital and dealing with her seizure problem. Thankfully, Ressa wanted to go to BounceU and the kids had Friday off of school. Perfect. BounceU had an open schedule and I made a few quick phone calls and texts to family and friends, and viola!

Here we are sitting and watching our kids hopefully wear themselves out. Katie (far left) is a friend of mine and the rest are my sisters-in-law Hollie, Diana, and Carrie.

When your are little, you have to find ways to improvise. A cross between air hockey and table tennis. Table hockey!

Happy Birthday, Ressa! I am so happy to make this day special for you and celebrating your first 7 years!

"Put your hand on your head if you want lemonade". So the party hosts really took care of everything! They served the pizza, poured the drinks, handed out the presents and read the birthday cards aloud. I felt like a guest at the party!
